I know that quite a few people aren't very fond of it (admittedly, I like the British version more, too) but it's not a bad show if you take it for what it is and don't compare it to the British version and expect it to be basically the same show.

Anyway, I don't want to rant. It comes on History channel at 8:00 central. If you don't live in the central time zone... Sorry, you'll have to figure that one out on your own and what time that is for you :P

I'm a fan, especially after they ditched the studio bits and have concentrated on challenges, etc. Sure they don't have the chemistry of the UK version (but it's improving every season), but neither did the UK version at this point in it's life. I am looking forward to the new season.

Honestly, as far as the studio bits go, I always skip the celebrity lap/interview when I watch the British version unless it's someone I know of (Racing driver, actor I'm familiar with, etc). I like the Stig lap and the news and everything else, but the reasonably priced car part isn't really my thing.

But yeah, I think with a little more time, TG US will settle into it's own thing. It's a shame that a lot of the people that would enjoy it later on down the road have probably ruled the show out since they weren't impressed with Season 1 or 2.

The early TG US SIARPC were pretty bad, so I'm glad they ditched that in particular. I do like the Stig lap, but don't really miss it that much. Not having to film in a studio probably cuts their costs and allows for more zany challenges out and about.

I saw the taping of the original pilot . It was pretty good actually, they did a better job with the in-studio stuff. Too bad it'll never see the light of day. I'm pretty happy with where the History channel version has gone. Chemistry takes time, and I get the sense these guys legitimately enjoy messing with each other, a hallmark of the TG UK version.

Yep, I just happened to be in LA that week for work and got tickets. Great experience. Standing behind Adam while he introduced the Stig for the first time gave me goosebumps. Couldn't even tell you what he said.

The autographed David Hasselhoff picture was priceless.

Thanks for the time confirm. MDT for me as well, and I'm never sure which way the channels will decide the time slot (all adjust, 2 east same and 2 west same, etc.).
